'Vintage Lace' by Margret Wilson
jenniferanne on RAV very kindly made 'SIBOL' a Blanket.
I asked for details and this is what she said. It may help you if you are interested in having a go at this beautiful Square!
Margret Wilson’s pattern “Vintage lace square” is already on Ravelry and is free. It is well written and easy to make. My only modification was to make the centre hole smaller (a round of 8 double crochet onto a magic loop, then a second round of 2 dc in each stitch to make the 16 dc that MW has as round one); apart from that I followed her pattern as written.
I hope this helps. It is a lovely square for a blanket, and I particularly liked it in the blue and white (in Still Waters). I was tempted to keep repeating the two rows of the pattern to make a blanket of one big square, but chickened out - the rows would have got very long, and would require large amounts of each colour of yarn, so I kept it to the 25 squares.
from jenniferanne (RAV).
Such a pretty Square, thank you jenniferanne!

ReplyDeleteOh, my goodness! I'm loving all these granny squares :) Btw, thanks for coming to the party and for sharing your thoughts regarding my question :) True, we can't protect our children from disappointments so all we can do is teach them how to cope up.
